We’re taking the time to share the stories behind our incredible Tradebank members. These are tradespeople with big hearts and professional skills volunteering their time, energy and skills to help those in our community who need minor house related repairs. These repairs which are often left unchecked can become the stumbling block to homes performing better and providing a healthier home. Tradebank tradies make a real difference in their community!
Family values make for good business
The Flooring Room was one of the first big hearted tradies to join Tradebank, answering the call for their community. Owner Steve Ferris says, “We genuinely feel good about doing good, and it’s good for the team.”
Steve is a third generation ‘flooring guy’, whose father and grandfather always believed in the importance of being part of the community. It’s “locals dealing with locals”, says Steve.
Staff seem to like that they’re working for a compassionate business. Andy, one of the flooring consultants says, “The team looks out for each other as well as the customers they work with, including many locals from the Tauranga community.” Steve believes people like working for a company with values.
What about the customers? It seems they like it as well, as while the business is only 2 years old they have grown quickly and continuing to grow, which means they’re doing something right. So along with great service and a good product, customers can also feel good about supporting a business that supports the community.
We're over the moon to have them on board Tradebank as one of our ‘tradies’.
